About Sandy Hook Promise
Sandy Hook Promise (SHP) is a national nonprofit organization with a mission to end school shootings, and create a culture change that prevents violence and other harmful acts that hurt children. Through its life-saving evidence-informed Know the Signs prevention programs, SHP educates and empowers youth and adults to recognize, intervene, and get help for individuals who may be socially isolated and/or at risk of hurting themselves or others. SHP is a moderate, bipartisan organization that supports sensible policy solutions that address the human side of gun violence and make schools safer.
SHP is led by several family members whose loved ones were killed in the tragic mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.

Location
We are a U.S. based organization and most of our staff work remotely. The position will work remotely and deliver training in person and virtually, requiring up to 50% travel.
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Implementation to conduct training for Middle and High School audiences, as well as to create and facilitate adult-facing professional development training. The goal is to ensure our Sandy Hook Promise Know the Signs (KTS) and Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS) programs are delivered in an outcomes-driven, engaging, inclusive, and youth-friendly format. Training Managers may also manage a small team of 1 – 3 full-time trainers.
Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)
- Training Design & Delivery -75%
- Design and deliver high-quality in-person and virtual training for middle and high school students, as well as professional development for educators.
- Engage diverse student audiences through a REDI lens in both in-person and virtual settings.
- Conduct up to five 45-60 minute presentations daily during the school year (Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm), including occasional Sunday travel.
- Design and deliver adult training (4.5 hours in-person or 2.5 hours virtually).
- Create training materials and provide professional development to adult audiences.
- Ensure program quality and fidelity, aligning with SHP’s mission and values.
- Serve as a Sandy Hook Promise ambassador in schools and during virtual interactions with school personnel.
- Demonstrate knowledge of SHP’s work with STOP grantees and SSARS agreements in the region.
- Coordinate personal travel arrangements (flights, hotels, rental cars, meals) per SHP’s policy and occasionally assist with regional trainer travel.
- Arrive 45 minutes early to set up technology, greet school staff, and ensure all sessions are fully prepared.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams and assist with other projects during downtimes.
- Administration and Management-25%
- Design and deliver in-person/virtual training for middle/high school students and professional development for educators.

- Lead up to five 45-60 min sessions daily (Mon-Fri, 7 am-3 pm), occasional Sunday travel.
- Create and deliver adult training (4.5 hrs in-person, 2.5 hrs virtual).
- Develop training materials and ensure programs meet SHP standards and values.
- Represent SHP in schools and during virtual interactions.
- Know SHP’s work with STOP grantees/SSARS agreements in the region.
- Manage personal travel (flights, hotels, rentals, meals) and assist with regional trainer travel as needed.
- Arrive 45 mins early for setup and prep; be fully prepared for sessions.
- Collaborate with teams and assist with other projects during breaks.
- 3-5 years of experience delivering training to both youth and adults
- Knowledge of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) standards
- Experience designing and facilitating adult training
- Skilled in adapting delivery for diverse populations and different audience types
- Open to feedback and committed to continuous improvement for high-performance delivery
- Strong communication skills, including email and virtual platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom) and confident in using tech for virtual training
- Highly reliable: punctual, delivers presentations with accuracy, and proactively addresses challenges
- Proven ability to engage both youth and adult audiences
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the school year, including overnights, and manage travel arrangements using company card
- Prefer experience in K-12 education or mental health
- Spanish fluency (written and spoken) preferred

The salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000.
(SHP follows a strict internal rubric to help guide salary placement and ensure equitable pay amongst new hires and current staff. New hires should expect to be brought on at the start of the range, except in extenuating circumstances.)
