Sandy Hook Promise
(SHP) is a national nonprofit organization with a mission to end school shootings and create a culture change that prevents violence and other harmful acts that hurt children. Through its life-saving evidence-informed Know the Signs prevention programs, SHP educates and empowers youth and adults to recognize, intervene, and get help for individuals who may be socially isolated and/or at risk of hurting themselves or others. SHP is a moderate, bipartisan organization that supports sensible policy solutions that address the human side of gun violence and make schools safer.

SHP is led by several family members whose loved ones were killed in the tragic mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012.

Location and Working Conditions
We are a U.S. based organization and most of our staff work remotely. The Senior Associate, Partner Success should expect to travel up to 15% of the time on an as-needed basis.


About the Role
The Senior Associate, Partner Success position will play a crucial role in fostering and maintaining strong relationships with SHP program partners to drive success and growth in alignment to the organization’s strategic growth goals. The Senior Associate will oversee a portfolio of virtual program partner accounts within across a geographic region and is responsible for ensuring that partners are supported, engaged, and equipped with the necessary resources to effectively implement and utilize SHP programs. The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of SHP programs.  

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
  • Manage a portfolio of K-12 virtual/self-led program partners in the region (US West, Central, or East). 
  • Manage a prescribed cadence of implementation and ongoing account management and cross-sales activities for partners in assigned portfolio. 
  • Lead the onboarding process for new and prospective self-led partners receiving virtual support by clearly communicating program offerings, aligning implementation plans to district or school goals, and ensuring all required documents, trainings, and systems access are completed. 
  • Schedule and lead quarterly check-ins with virtual partners who request or would benefit from a more personalized touchpoint. 
  • Provide targeted outreach, resources, and coaching to help virtual partners advance through key implementation phases, deepen program integration, and maximize impact within their school communities. 
  • Develop knowledge of the full suite of SHP offerings and utilize comprehensive product knowledge to provide exceptional customer support, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering tailored solutions through coaching and technical assistance.  
  • Work closely with Business Development and Implementation teams to steward partners through the contracting and implementation processes  
  • Provide first-tier support for partners using SHP products and services  
  • Support manager as the primary lead for school district implementation   
  • Coordinate with Business Development and Implementation teams to provide ongoing support and a partner-centric approach  
  • Work with grants and finance teams to ensure grant compliance, monitoring progress according to policies  
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of data literacy and utilize data for decision-making  
  • Provide support to the Account Management team and assist with cross-functional administrative needs as required  
  • Travel up to 15% of time within the United States. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned, based on evolving organizational needs and priorities

  • Quick learner with proficiency in technology; knowledge of Salesforce and presentation platforms is advantageous.  
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  
  • Experience working remotely in a decentralized staffing structure is desirable.

Benefits and Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $54,000 - $68,000.
(SHP follows a strict internal rubric to help guide salary placement and ensure equitable pay amongst new hires and current staff. New hires should expect to be brought on at the start of the range, except in extenuating circumstances.)

Our organization operates within a distributed workforce, allowing for location flexibility across the country for most positions. We provide remote office support for all staff, which includes a laptop, home office reimbursement, monthly Wi-Fi reimbursement up to $40, and monthly cell phone reimbursement up to $50.
